Prime Minister Andrew Holness has expressed a deep sense of regret at the passing of broadcaster, Dorraine Samuels.

Dorraine Samuels passed away this afternoon. She was ailing for some time.

Dorraine was a long-time employee of the RJRGleaner Communications Group.

She entered Broadcasting on January 1981.

“Dorraine Samuels has shaped the lives of so many who grew up listening to her on morning radio and her effortless presentation of the nightly news. She will forever be in our hearts,” said Prime Minister Holness.

The veteran broadcaster shared an unforgettable partnership with Alan Magnus on Radio Jamaica (RJR) for four decades. She also hosted the programme Good Morning Jamaica which was later named Dorraine’s Coffee Break.
