COVID-19 Update: 13 More Recoveries; Two New Cases Recorded

The last 24 hours have seen an increase of 13 patients being released from COVID-19 isolation. The cumulative number of patients now recovered and released stands at 539 (78.6% Recovery rate). Jamaica also recorded two new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing that total to 686.
The two new cases are females, ages 29 and 87 years old with addresses of residence in Kingston & St. Andrew. One case is imported from the USA, while other is a contact of prior imported case (import-related).
Jamaica now has 172 imported cases; 232 cases are contacts of confirmed cases; 39 are local transmission cases not epidemiologically linked; 236 related to the workplace cluster in St. Catherine and seven under investigation.
Some 392 (57%) of all confirmed cases are females and 294 (43%) are males. The ages of all confirmed cases range from 2 months to 87 years.
There are now 137 (19.9%) active cases under observation with no critically or moderately ill patient.
