The primary objective of the JIS Photo Unit is to provide photographic coverage of Government activities and disseminate photographs of the media through the JIS editorial Department.
The Photo Unit
The Photo Unit plays a vital role in capturing, printing and archiving images internally for the JIS and for other external uses.
There is an extensive collection of black and white, coloured and digital images in its archives, comprising public sector activities that date back to 1966.
The section also provides coverage for non-government clients and supports the work of the departments in the development of publications, posters, brochures and websites. Portraits of Government Ministers and prints of color and black and white images are available for sale.
