Mr. Speaker, I see my Constituency as a part of Jamaica’s representative democracy. I am honoured to be the representative of Eastern St. Andrew, in this Parliament.
I am happy to serve the fine Jamaicans who want Jamaica to be their place of choice to live, work, study, and raise families.
I also see Eastern St. Andrew as a part of Jamaica’s legacy of Nation-Building. It was the Constituency of our Nation-Builder and national hero, Norman Washington Manley.
I am especially proud to be a part of his legacy. I fully intend to continue his work. It was N.W. Manley who insisted on having annual Sectoral Debates so that every Member of Parliament could have the opportunity to give an account to the country of his/her stewardship of the constituency they represent.
With that said, Mr. Speaker, I want to thank the electors of Eastern St. Andrew who have afforded me this opportunity to represent them.
I also thank the volunteers and workers whose tireless efforts have helped to place me in this Honourable House.
I extend special thanks to:
My family for their support and understanding during my campaign(s)
The Prime Minister the Most Honourable Portia Simpson-Miller for her sterling stewardship
My fellow Members of Parliament on this side of the House who have guided me as a first time MP
My two councilors and
The Members from across that side floor.
Mr. Speaker the great constituency of Eastern St Andrew is unique in that it is the gateway to great opportunities in Jamaica…READ MORE
