- The books will be opened from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily at five locations in Kingston and one in Montego Bay; and at overseas Missions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.

Members of the public will be able to pay their respects to the late former Governor-General, the Most Hon. Sir Howard Cooke, by signing condolence books that are opened from Wednesday, July 23, to Thursday, August 7.
The books will be opened from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily at five locations in Kingston and one in Montego Bay; and at overseas Missions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.
In Kingston, condolence books will be at King’s House; The Mico University College (at the President’s Office); the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade; People’s National Party Headquarters; and Hope United Church, 221 Old Hope Road. In Montego Bay, it will be at the Office of the Prime Minister, Western Region.
On Tuesday, August 5 the body will lie in state at the Cultural Centre, Sam Sharpe Square, Montego Bay and on Thursday, August 7 at The Mico University College, 1 Marescaux Road between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on both days.
Thursday, August 7 and Friday, August 8 will be observed as the Official Period of Mourning. Flags on all public buildings are to be flown at half mast.
The State Funeral for the late former Governor-General will be held on Friday, August 8 at the Holy Trinity Cathedral, 1 George Headley Drive, Kingston, starting 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in National Heroes Park.
