The Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica will open a Condolence Book for the late Dr. Raymond Wright on Friday July 22, 2011.

Members of the public are invited to sign the Condolence Book, which will remain open until Friday, July 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each business day at the PCJ Auditorium, 36 Trafalgar Road, Kingston 10, except for Monday July 25 when the PCJ will be closed at 12 noon as a mark of respect to Dr. Wright.

Group Managing Director from 1994 – 2005 and Manager of Special Projects from 2005 until the time of his death on July 7, 2011, Dr. Wright provided 32 years of stellar service to the PCJ.

A geologist by profession, he had a long and distinguished career in the field of energy and is respected internationally for his contributions to the energy sector especially in the areas of renewable energy and oil and gas exploration. He authored several publications including The New Agenda; Jamaica’s Energy: Old Prospects New Resources, andEnergy and Sustainable Development.

Dr. Wright’s Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 25, at the University Chapel, Mona Campus starting at 2:00 p.m.
