A Cold Front across the western Caribbean is expected to influence weather conditions over Jamaica starting late Sunday, the Meteorological Office in Kingston reported Friday (December 18).
The Met Office said, consequently, the island is expected to experience frequent showers along with isolated thunderstorms over mainly northern parishes. Gusty winds and a near 3 degree Celsius fall in temperature are also expected Sunday through Tuesday, as the system lingers over the central Caribbean.
Fishers and other marine interests are being advised to exercise caution as strong, gusty winds are likely in areas of showers and thunderstorms, especially over northern and western coastal areas. The Meteorological Service will continue to monitor the situation.
