On the instructions of the Principal Executive Officer of the Court Management Services a technical team made an assessment of the damage at the Corporate Area Family Court on Thursday, September 3, 2015. Repairs to the facility will commence Friday, September 4, 2015, and are expected to be completed over two weekends.

The holding area in which juvenile detainees awaiting court hearings are placed at the court had been previously damaged by a female detainee, resulting in two male juvenile detainees forcing their way through the damaged grill, last week Friday, August 28, 2015.  Extra efforts and keener vigilance will be given to ensure that the detainees do not vandalise the property in the future.

The Court Management Services continues to use the resources available, to ensure the safety and security of all juvenile detainees.
