Civil Service Long Service Awards Postponed

The Jamaica Civil Service Long Service Awards Ceremony, which was scheduled for this Wednesday November 19, has been postponed until further notice. The decision to postpone comes in the wake of weather reports from the National Meteorological Centre, which has advised that there is a significant feature resulting in a cold front which will begin to affect the island later today.
The advisory has stated that there will be thunderstorms and an increase in rainfall until late Wednesday. As a result, a decision has been taken to postpone the long service awards.
The Jamaica Civil Service Long Service Awards, were introduced in 1988. The Awards recognise the invaluable service of Government workers, who have devoted the best years of their professional careers to nation building through the public sector, covering all civilian posts in all Ministries.
