$280 Million Being Spent to Repair Roads in West Rural St. Andrew
National Security Minister and Central Manchester Member of Parliament, Hon. Peter Bunting (left, foreground), and State Minister for Transport, Works, and Housing, Hon. Richard Azan (second right, foreground), cut the ribbon to symbolise the official opening of the newly refurbished Woodlawn Crescent road in Royal Flat, Manchester during a ceremony at that location on February 13. The road was repaired at a cost of $2.6 million under phase three of the Jamaica Emergency Employment Programme (JEEP). The corridor is one of two in the constituency which were repaired at an overall cost of $6.2 million under JEEP, the other being Bashie Road in Bellefield. Also participating in the formalities (from second left, foreground) are: Councillor, Royal Flat Division, Donovan Mitchell; Mayor of Mandeville, Councillor Brenda Ramsay; Councillor, Mandeville Division, Jones Oliphant; and Vice President, Spiritual Affairs, Northern Caribbean University (NCU), Senior Pastor Michael Harvey.
