PM Breaks Ground for US$700-Million Resort in St. James
Prime Minister, Dr. the Most Hon. Andrew Holness (second right), breaks ground for the $109 million Serenity Grove Housing Development Project in Gregory Park, St. Catherine, on Tuesday (August 5). Dr. Holness is joined by (from left): Chair of the New Social Housing Programme (NSHP) Oversight Committee, Judith Robb Walters; Senior Director in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation, Richard Cargill; Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Arlene Williams; and State Minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, and Member of Parliament for the area, Alando Terrelonge.  The Project will comprise 10 units under the New Social Housing Programme (NSHP), housing approximately 38 people who lost their homes in an arson attack in 2023.
