The facility was officially opened on Friday (September 20). Also participating are Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries Minister and Member of Parliament for North East Manchester where the lab is located, Hon. Audley Shaw (2nd right); and (from 2nd left) Southern Regional Health Authority Chairman, Wayne Chen; and Director for the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Varough Deyde (partially hidden).
