Grange Commends Private and Public Sector for Displaying Spirit of Independence
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Alison McLean (centre) looks on as Acting Executive Director, Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC), Marjorie Leyden-Vernon (left), presents the winning trophy to Assistant Vice President, Marketing, Mayberry Investments Limited, Anika Jengelley, for copping the Best Decorated Business Office in the Private Sector. Occasion was the Spirit of Independence Awards Presentation ceremony at the Devonshire in St. Andrew, today (September 15). In keeping with the 2016 Jamaica Festival theme, ‘Let’s Get Together and Feel Alright’, local businesses and government agencies were encouraged to display their ‘Spirit of Independence’ by decorating their offices in a window dressing competition, while parish council offices were encouraged to decorate their various town squares.
