Cabinet to Meet December 5-6

Cabinet will meet in a Special Session, starting on Thursday afternoon through to Friday, December 5-6, 2013.

The special meeting of the Cabinet will review the country’s medium term economic programme and the macro-economic projections for the 2014/15 financial year.

This represents an early start to the 2014/15 Budget preparation exercise. Specific attention will be given to a review of the:-

• Growth agenda
• Social protection programmes, and
• Progress in the implementation of priority programmes and projects for 2013/14

This will enable the setting of the Budget parameters and ceilings as well as the strategic priorities for 2014/15, and the medium term.

The special meeting of the Cabinet will take place at Jamaica House.
