KINGSTON — Cabinet has approved a $71.2 million contract with Coantum Limited, for the supply of pipeline materials and equipment for the transmission of potable water to the Longville Park Housing Development Phase III in Clarendon.
This was disclosed by Minister with responsibility for Information, Telecommunication and Special Projects, Hon. Daryl Vaz, at yesterday’s Post Cabinet press briefing at Jamaica House.
Mr. Vaz also stated that the project’s housing and other works are approximately fifty-five per cent complete.
“The NHT is seeking to engage a contractor to supply the pipe materials, to facilitate the timely installation of potable water supply to the development,” he said.
The contract was awarded on the recommendation of the National Contracts Commission (NCC) and the Cabinet’s Infrastructure Sub-committee.
