XSOMO International Limited has been awarded a US$400,000 contract to supply and implement an Electronic Document Management and Imaging Solution, to support the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service in digital capturing and instantaneous access to official documents created daily.
Speaking at a Post Cabinet press briefing at Jamaica House, on Wednesday (February 2), Minister with responsibility for Information, Telecommunications and Special Projects, Hon. Daryl Vaz, noted that the system will also digitise and automate the manual indices and records maintained within the official registry systems.
"The solution is also critical to the successful implementation of a centralised treasury management system," he said.
Meanwhile, in relation to the renewal of software update licence and support for the shipping service provider system, Cabinet approved the award of a contract to Port Computer Services (PCS) costing $200 million, for the provision of the AS-400 Computer System and other Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services.
