Pearnel Charles Jr. (second left), are joined by Board Chair, National Council for Senior Citizens (NCSC), Dr. Julian McKoy-Davis (left), and Director, African Caribbean Institute of Jamaica/Jamaica Memory Bank, (ACIJ/JMB), Dr. Kirt Henry, during the Oral History Project launch held on Wednesday (May 15). The event was held at the Culture Ministry in New Kingston. The project, to be undertaken by the National Council for Senior Citizens (NCSC) and African Caribbean Institute of Jamaica/Jamaica Memory Bank, (ACIJ/JMB), will document oral histories of senior citizens with interesting recollections of the country’s history. The goal is to archive these recordings with the ACIJ/JMB for future generations.
