Jamaica’s Ambassador to the United States, Anthony Johnson, will pay a three-day official visit to the city of Atlanta from June 13-15.
While in Atlanta, Ambassador Johnson will pay a courtesy call on Mayor Shirley Franklin; meet with Georgia’s Commissioner of Labour, Michael Thurman and representatives from the 20 Jamaican organizations in Atlanta; and hold talks with a number of businesspersons in Atlanta, who wish to do business in Jamaica.
He will also visit the Dr. Martin Luther King historical site and the International Walk of Fame, to which late former Prime Minister, Michael Manley, was posthumously inducted in January of this year.
On Saturday (June 14), the Ambassador will be the guest on the number one Caribbean radio show in Atlanta Rockers International on WRFG Radio, hosted by Paul Abrahams. Later that evening, the Ambassador will deliver the keynote address at Kingston College Old Boys Association Atlanta Chapter’s 8th annual reunion and awards banquet.
Ambassador Johnson will be accompanied on his visit by Honorary Counsel in Atlanta, Vin Martin.
