During the 2021 Inaugural Africa-CARICOM Summit, a decision was taken for September 7 to be observed as Africa-CARICOM Day. This annual acknowledgement as outlined by the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), is an initiative aimed at strengthening relationships and fostering cooperation between CARICOM and the African Union (AU).
