The Full Story

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) has increased the number of offices that offer same day processing of Driver’s Licence.

The Annotto Bay Tax Office now offers the complete Driver’s Licence Service, whilst the Portmore Tax Office will offer renewal services only, at this time.

The other offices where full Driver’s Licence Services are offered are:

 Kingston Revenue Service Centre

 St. Andrew Revenue Service Centre

 Montego Bay Revenue Service Centre

 Mandeville Revenue Service Centre

 Spanish Town Tax Office

 May Pen Tax Office

 St. Ann’s Bay Tax Office

 Savanna-la-Mar Tax Office

 Port Antonio Tax Office Motorists are reminded that they may renew their Driver’s Licence up to sixty (60) days before expiration.

Additionally, the Driver’s Licence renewal process can be started online by logging on to TAJ’s website at www.jamacatax.gov.jm, and making the payment electronically, then completing the F7 Application Form (this can be downloaded from the website), and submitting at the TAJ office along with the receipt, one passport size photograph and the expired licence.

This will minimise the time spent in-branch, as the customer will not need to go to a cashier.

It should be noted that all other locations can accept Driver’s Licence applications, which are then sent to one of the printing locations for processing.

These will be processed within twenty (20) working days for pick at the location it was dropped off. Motorists are reminded that they are permitted to operate a vehicle, using the receipt and the expired Driver’s Licence for up to 60 days.

Tax Administration continues to improve its services to serve you better.
