Cabinet has approved three contracts valued at approximately $254 million for the construction of storm water channels and access roads at Agro-Parks in four rural parishes.
The projects, which are outlined in a Ministry Paper, tabled in the House of Representatives on June 10, will be implemented under the Agricultural Competitiveness Programme.
Construction Solutions Limited will receive $175 million to carry out works at the Yallahs and Spring Plain Agro-Parks in St. Thomas and Clarendon, respectively.
Additionally, a contract in the sum of $78 million has been awarded to Alcar Construction and Haulage Company Limited, for works on the New Forest/Duff House Agro-Park in St. Elizabeth/ Manchester.
