The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) is promising an exciting ‘Mello Go Roun’ 2013 on Thursday, August 1 at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.
Mello Go Roun’, the premier family entertainment event of the Independence and Emancipation celebrations is being held under the theme: ‘Mello MANIA’ and promises to be extraordinary and engaging.
The performances will unfold in three segments: Parading; Waves of Creation; and Spectacular.
“The audience will be captivated by every genre of performances – speech, music, dance and traditional folk forms; it is something to behold,” Production Coordinator, Andrew Brodber, told JIS News.
The annual Mello Go Roun’ provides a platform to showcase the most outstanding and entertaining acts that emerge from the JCDC Performing Arts Competitions held across the island.
“We look at the talent that has come up through the entire competition and what shines at the national finals. We try to match that with the theme so that when it is brought together it is something spectacular,” Mr. Brodber explained.
Tickets for Mello Go Roun’ are $500 for adults and $200 for children. Tickets are available at Portmore Mall Pharmacy, Music Depot, Clock Tower Plaza, Best Expressions, JCDC parish offices and Music Mart.
