For the past 50 years, Jamaica and Cuba have enjoyed a long fruitful relationship in the area of health and medicine. From regular medical screenings to life-saving procedures, Cuban medical professionals have helped Jamaican citizens get back to health in numerous ways.
But as the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end. The Jamaica Cuba Medical Cooperation Agreement was discontinued in February, leaving many wondering how the void left by the departure of the Cubans, will be filled.
However, the Ministry of Health and Wellness recently outlined its plan to address the situation.
