Jamaican sprinter and 2x Olympic silver medalist, who specializes in the 400m Christine Day, was recently announced Jamaica’s first Sports Exchange Advisor (SEA), under the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program. She was among 8 Jamaicans who form this year’s cohort of participants. Japanese ambassador to Jamaica His Excellency Yasuhiro Atsumi, outlined that, Day will be coaching sprinting at Tottori Prefecture as an SEA, but will also play an instrumental part in the experience of the Jamaican athletes now in Japan for the World Athletics, World Championships.
