Madam Speaker,
I rise today in this Honourable House with deep gratitude and an even deeper sense of responsibility, as we chart the course for the vital sectors under my portfolio— Science, Energy, Telecommunications, and Transport. These sectors form the backbone of our national development, driving innovation, connectivity, and efficiency in service to the people of Jamaica. Before I begin, I must take a moment to sincerely thank those who support this mission every single day.

A man who served his country as a freedom fighter and then a Member of Parliament (MP) and Cabinet Minister in the 1980s and MP to 1993. A true patriot who inspired me to follow in his footsteps hence a 4-time consecutive MP in one constituency of 18 years and a Minister of government 13 years. Happy Birthday dad!
To my dear wife, Ann-Marie, my children, grandchildren, family, and friends—your unwavering love and support fuel my commitment to public service. Thank you for your patience, sacrifices, and constant encouragement.
