Areas covered under the MOU are the sharing of experiences and developing joint initiatives in sports; promoting common standards for the organisation of major sporting events; sharing common objectives and know-how; developing high sports performance through the exchange of good practices, coaching training, and research; sharing information on the development of the sports economy and sports tourism; and promoting sports ethics, mainly the fight against doping. Olivia Grange and France’s Ambassador to Jamaica, His Excellency Olivier Guyonvarch, exchange signed copies of a Sports Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the countries, at the Ministry in Kingston on Wednesday (July 24). Implementation of this agreement, initiated by the Centre for Research on Sports Performance of Guadeloupe and the Faculty of Sports at the University of the West Indies (UWI) will allow for the development of sports science, new practices, and increase exchanges between the countries.
