The Ministry of Education and Youth is accepting entries for its annual National Career Awareness Week 2024 poster competition.

This competition is open to students at the primary and secondary levels and will culminate during the Week’s celebrations. In collaboration with the HEART/NSTA Trust, Junior Achievement Jamaica and CHOICES, the Ministry will host a week of activities to celebrate National Career Awareness Week from February 3 to 9, under the theme Expanding our Horizon; respecting the Journey through Career Development’. The Ministry, in a bulletin, is encouraging students to participate in the poster competition leading up to Career Awareness Week.

The winning poster(s) will be used as the National Career Awareness Week theme for the following year. In addition, students will have an opportunity to win educational prizes for first, second and third places. Students are required to design a poster on regular cartridge paper. The design can be either painting, drawing or digital. The theme for the poster must include the keywords ‘Career Development’. Entries without the key words will not be eligible for the competition. The poster must be an original design. A 30-second video recording in MP4 format explaining the concept of the poster along with the entry should be submitted to the Regional Offices by Monday, January 8, 2024.
