The prestigious Governor-General’s Achievement Awards was established in 1991 to recognize excellence in academics, leadership, and community service. To date, 944 Jamaicans have received the award. This year 37 individuals were shortlisted and awarded, among them was 22-year-old Ibrahim Duffus.
