Olivia Grange (left), receives a plaque from Lead Paratrooper, Guyana Defence Force, Lieutenant Colonel Lloyd Souvenir, on behalf of the people of Guyana, to commemorate Jamaica’s 60th year of Independence. The presentation was made at the Ministry’s offices in Kingston on Monday (August 8). During Saturday’s (August 6) Grand Gala, paratroopers from the Guyana Defence Force skydived from 8,000 feet, participating in a handover of the Jamaican flag before it was hoisted in the National Stadium.
