Pesticides help protect our produce from pests and diseases, but sustained use of these chemicals can have negative health consequences for us humans. For instance, several persons were accidentally poisoned by pesticides over the last two years.
This, among other reasons, has prompted a study to investigate pesticide use in agriculture and the impact on the Jamaican environment.
