The Ministry of Education and Youth (MoEY) is reporting that a decision has been taken to postpone the Grade Six Primary Exit Profile (PEP) Ability Test from its originally scheduled date of February 22, 2022, to March 24, 2022.
However, the Grade Six Performance-Based Test scheduled for March 22 and 24, 2022, have been cancelled.
Meanwhile, the Grade Six Curriculum-Based Tests (CBT) will be administered as per the original scheduled dates – Language Arts and Science on April 27, and Mathematics and Social Studies on April 28, 2022.
The Grade Five Performance Tasks in Language Arts and Science will be administered on June 8, and Mathematics and Social Studies on June 9.
Performance Tasks in Literacy and Language Arts, and Numeracy and Mathematics for Grade Four will be administered on June 29 and June 30, 2022, respectively.
A bulletin issued by the MoEY states that the decision to make adjustments to the administration dates came after consultations with members of the National Standards Curriculum and PEP Monitoring Committee, after concerns raised by stakeholders in the education sector, and feedback from teachers.
