The Full Story

Member of Parliament for West Rural St. Andrew, Juliet Cuthbert-Flynn, says she will ensure that proper work is done on the surfacing of roadways, with adequate water channels and drainage systems put in place during the execution of the job.

Making her contribution to the 2016/17 Constituency Debate in the House of Representatives on October 26, Mrs. Cuthbert-Flynn said this will be done in collaboration with the National Water Commission (NWC) and the National Works Agency (NWA).

She noted that there have been three major breakaways for the past two years in Lawrence Tavern and Brandon Hill that require urgent attention.

The Member of Parliament also informed that rehabilitation of the Mount Salus main road is currently under way.

“This will go a long way in providing a more comfortable commute for the residents of neighbouring communities and instil a greater sense of civic pride,” Mrs. Cuthbert-Flynn said.
