The National Environment and Planning Agency, NEPA, employs various strategies to manage Jamaica’s biodiversity.Coordinator for Flora in the Ecosystems Management Branch at NEPA, Loureene Jones speaks about the management plan in place to facilitate the management and protection of Jamaica’s flora and fauna and their habitat or home.

The Development Assistance Centre at the National Environment and Planning Agency began operations in 2010 as a joint project involving the Government, Jamaica Chamber of Commerce and The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to significantly reduce the time it takes to process development proposals.
