The Government has budgeted approximately $2.67 billion for the continued buildout of critical infrastructure for the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) in 2026/27.

Details of the projects, which fall under the Ministry of National Security and Peace, are outlined in the 2026/27 Estimates of Expenditure, tabled recently in the House of Representatives by Minister of Finance and the Public Service, Hon. Fayval Williams.

Of the total allocation, $800 million will be used to continue construction of the Westmoreland Police Divisional Headquarters, $970.7 million will accelerate work on the St. Catherine North Police Divisional Headquarters, and $900 million will fund the construction of new fit for purpose buildings for the JCF’s western base Specialised Operations.

For fiscal year 2026/27, it is anticipated that 85 per cent of the Westmoreland Police Divisional Headquarters will be completed.

As of December 2025, 52 per cent of the facility had been finished.

For the St. Catherine North Police Divisional Headquarters, the allocation for the upcoming fiscal year will support continued construction, with the goal of reaching 70 per cent completion., Thirty-one per cent of the facility had been completed, as of December 2025.

Meanwhile, for the construction of the JCF Specialised Operations – West Facility, it is anticipated that during fiscal year 2026/27, the services of a works contractor will be procured and mobilised.
