More than 187 public sector workers, who have successfully completed courses of study at the Management Institute for National Development (MIND), will be presented with degrees, diplomas, and other awards, at the institution’s 15th annual graduation ceremony on Saturday, December 6.

The ceremony, under the theme: ‘Providing the Tools: Impacting Transformation through Training for Public Service Excellence’, is slated for 4:00 p.m. at the MIND campus at 235a Old Hope Road, St. Andrew.

Chief Executive Officer of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica, Dennis Chung, will deliver the keynote address.

The graduates, from over 55 agencies and departments within 18 ministries, have completed post graduate, associate degree, and diploma programmes, as well as special certificate courses.

Clients and Marketing Manager at MIND, Shawnette Henry, said that the institute continues to celebrate “these milestone achievements” of public sector workers as a critical part of the modernization and transformation process.

“MIND is cognizant of, and remains true to our mission to develop competent public sector leaders,” she added.

MIND is the Government of Jamaica’s public service training institute mandated to provide leadership and management training that responds to the needs of the public service and supports the modernization and transformation thrust of Government.
