Trelawny Pays Respects to Her Majesty, The Queen

Trelawny’s civic and political leaders, senior police officers and firefighters, paid their respects to Her Majesty, The Queen by signing the Condolence Book in her honour on Friday (September 16).
The book was located at the office of the Custos for the parish, at the Trelawny Justice Centre at Rock in Falmouth.
Custos Hugh Gentles welcomed the stream of mourners, which included Chairman of the Trelawny Municipal Corporation and Mayor of Falmouth, Councillor C. Junior Gager; Member of Parliament for Trelawny South and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Marisa Dalrymple-Philibert; and Senior Justices of the Peace (JP), Ann Marie Beharie and Conrad Grant.
Deputy Superintendent of Police for Trelawny, Christopher Bowen and Acting Assistant Superintendent of the Jamaica Fire Brigade’s Trelawny Division, Kerry-Ann Heron, also signed.
Custos Gentles told JIS News that the Condolence Book, which was previously at the Trelawny Municipal Corporation in Falmouth, will be taken to the southern section of the parish to facilitate residents, who wish to pay their respects.
As such, it will be at the Custos’ location at Lowe River in Albert Town on Monday (September 19), which is the National Day of Mourning, and on Tuesday (September 20).
It returns to the Custos’ Falmouth office on Wednesday (September 21), before returning to Lowe River on Thursday (September 22).
The hours of signing at the locations are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.
