Effective April 1, 2020, interest rates on all new National Housing Trust (NHT) loans will be reduced by 1 percent. The NHT will also reduce all existing loans by 0.5 percent. Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the 1 percent reduction for new loans will affect over 8000 persons who access NHT loans annually. The 0.5 reduction in current loans will affect over 100,000 mortgagers.
