The government is to spend approximately 50 million dollars to build four water shops in St. Elizabeth. St. Elizabeth is the latest parish to benefit under the Government’s initiative to construct water shops as a way of addressing water shortage in parishes that traditionally suffer severe drought conditions.
Six Youth Benefit from Agricultural Development Scholarships
Six young people from St. Ann, St. Elizabeth and Manchester are benefitting from the Jamaica Bauxite Institute JBI/RIO Tinto/Alcan Legacy Fund, RTLAF Scholarships. After graduating, the scholarship recipients will be better able to successfully carry out green house production and would advise farmers in production and management.
