Justices Of The Peace Sensitized on Reporting Child Abuse
The Ministry of Justice has been working with several partners to sensitize and encourage Justices of the Peace (JPs) to play a more proactive role in responding to child abuse. JPs across the island have been engaged in a series of virtual sessions.
CCTV Grant Portal Now Open
The portal for applications for the Conditional Cash Transfer for the Vaccinated (CCTV) programme is now open via wecare.gov.jm. Fully vaccinated persons, aged 60 and older can apply for the Government’s vaccine incentive.

The Child Protection and Family Services Agency has 3 mobile mental health mobile units, called the Smiles Mobile that have been specially retrofitted to assist vulnerable children who are experiencing mental health challenges, such as post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, suicide ideations and grief.
