Director of Children and Family Programmes at the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA), Warren Thompson (right), displays the cover of a story book to grade-two students at the Bamboo Primary and Junior High School in St. Ann during Read Across Jamaica Day on Tuesday (May 3). Mr. Thompson visited the institution as part of a school tour to promote the importance of child protection and the Agency’s 211 Child Abuse Reporting Hotline.

Jamaica’s Promise – St. Catherine High School Health Fair

St. Catherine High School on Friday March 15 hosted the 12th staging of the institution’s annual Health Fair, under the theme ‘Trending Health: Mental, Physical and Spiritual’. Students and staff were treated to discounted and free health checks from health professionals and providers such as the National Health Fund, Children’s First with their Bashy Bus Service, Wellington Dental which offered dental checks, First Care Medical Plan, among others.

Jamaica’s Promise – Waterford Primary PEP Top Achiever
Waterford Primary, located in the center of the Waterford community in Portmore St. Catherine, achieved outstanding results on this year's Primary Exit Profile (PEP) Examinations, with 60 of its 73 students, approximately 82%, achieving high proficiency in the exams.
