The Full Story

The National Water Commission is advising that its Contractors will be undertaking the final phase of interconnection works for the new pipeline now installed along Spanish Town Road in the Kingston and St Andrew area.

The works will commence on Friday, June 24, 2022. However, based on the extensive nature of the activity, two to three days will be required for its completion.

During this time, there will be a disruption in water supply. Customers are, therefore, encouraged to store water for use during this period of disruption.

Work period: 8 a.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022
Completion Time: 10 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2022

Areas to be impacted: Cooreville Gardens and New Haven, Marcus Garvey Drive, Spanish Town Road and all roads leading off, including Atlantic Boulevard, sections of Washington Gardens, sections of Downtown Kingston including Charles Street, North Street, Tivoli Gardens and Environs

Customers are also advised that measures are now being explored to provide relief supply some areas for several hours on Saturday, June 25, 2022. However, this will only be possible for areas situated between Weymouth Drive and downtown Kingston areas.

Further updates will be provided on these arrangements, but customers should be mindful that they may experience intermittent supply and low pressures during this time.

The National Water Commission apologises for any inconvenience caused and seeks to assure its valued customers that every effort will be made to restore water supply ahead of the stipulated timelines.
