Recent graduate from the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona, Alexia Hibbert, displays her Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours certificate while standing beside the crab cooking station in Kingston where her mother, Makeisha “Munchie” Walker, works. She now holds a major in Political Leadership, Strategy and Management and a minor in Political Science. Ms. Hibbert visited her mother on Tuesday (November 1), to share her award with Ms. Walker and express gratitude for funding her tertiary education.

Ms. Hibbert visited her mother’s workplace in Kingston on Tuesday (November 1), adorned in her graduation gown, to express her appreciation for the years of hard work that enabled the young graduate to pursue tertiary education. Ms. Hibbert now holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Political Leadership, Strategy and Management and a minor in Political Science.
