MBM To Provide Efficient Transportation Service

The Montego Bay Metro Limited (MBM) will continue to provide an efficient and reliable transportation service at concessionary rates to students and senior citizens in the western parishes of the Island.
To achieve its objective, the MBM plans to keep its operational fleet consisting of six units.
Details are contained in the Jamaica Public Bodies Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure for the Fiscal Year concluding March 2025.
Additionally, MBM plans to pursue a comprehensive repair and maintenance programme aimed at reducing the number of interrupted cycle trips.
To bolster its revenue stream, the company will also ramp up efforts in areas such as mobile advertising and charter services.
The entity was established in September 1997 to provide a dedicated school bus service, for the teacher and student population in the parish of St. James and its environs.
The shares of the Company were acquired by Government of Jamaica (GOJ) in 2002 to facilitate an improved bus service to the citizens of St. James, Trelawny and Hanover.
