Theme: Fostering Unity: Respecting Beliefs

The Jamaica Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists is hosting a Religious Liberty Summit on January 30th at the Jamaica Conference Centre in downtown Kingston. This summit aims to address the challenges faced by Sabbath keepers in workplaces and educational institutions due to their observance of the Sabbath.

The summit will feature presentations by Prime Minister Andrew Holness, Chief Justice Bryan Sykes, and other religious leaders. It is designed to:

Highlight the disrespect for religious rights and beliefs of individuals and organizations. Foster dialogue and understanding among different religious groups in Jamaica. Raise awareness about the significance of religious liberty as a fundamental human right. Encourage respect for religious diversity in the workplace and educational institutions. Create a platform for stakeholders to connect, share experiences, and collaborate on promoting religious liberty.
