The Internal Audit unit ensures that the Agency remains compliant with the Guidelines outlined in the Executive Agencies (EA) Act, the Financial Administration and Audit (FAA) Act and the Corporate Governance framework documents.

The Unit is responsible for:

  • Conducting risk assessments and working with departments to develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Reviewing the Agency’s accounting systems and control procedures ensure they give a true and fair view of the Agency’s performance and financial position
  • Keep executive body abreast of audit findings
  • Ensuring that policies developed are in keeping with the aims of the agency and do not subject the agency to unnecessary
