Cabinet Appoints Committee to Evaluate Public Sector MOU

Cabinet has appointed a committee to monitor and evaluate the public sector Memorandum of Understanding among the government, trade unions and staff associations.
Health and Environment Minister, Rudyard Spencer, speaking at the (Oct. 17) post-Cabinet press briefing held at Jamaica House, said that the committee members including himself, Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Finance and Public Service, Senator Dwight Nelson; Minister of Labour and Social Security, Pearnel Charles, Financial Secretary, Collin Bullock; and Director-General of the Planning Institute of Jamaica, Dr. Wesley Hughes.
The committee will also include a representative from the Solicitor General’s Department and the Office of the Prime Minister.
The team will hold its first meeting next week.
