The Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission Licensing and Registration Division will be closed from Monday, February 3 to Friday, February 14 to facilitate preparations for the upcoming Licensing and Renewal activities.

The Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission (BGLC) has advised that its Licensing and Registration division, located at 78cef Hagley Park Road, Kingston 10, will be closed from Monday, February 3 to Friday, February 14.

This is to facilitate preparations for the upcoming Licensing and Renewal activities, which will begin in March.

Submission of applications for processing will not be accepted during the period of closure.

The Licensing and Registration division of the BGLC will resume regular operations on Monday, February 17.

The BGLC is the regulator for Jamaica’s gaming industry. Its mandate includes oversight of the operation of betting, gaming and the conduct of lotteries.

The Commission grants permits, licences and approvals to persons or entities considered fit and proper to conduct betting, gaming and lottery activities.

It also protects the public from unfair, unscrupulous and illegal gambling activities, while encouraging those who participate in gambling to always practise responsible gaming.
