The Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries has announced plans to expand the portfolio of the EXIM Bank to increase access to funding for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). Portfolio Minister Audley Shaw says he will be discussing a proposal with Finance Minister Dr Nigel Clarke to source funds from the Development Bank of Jamaica, DBJ. Minister Shaw notes that once an agreement is reached between the agencies there will be a greater distribution of resources for on lending to all business owners to expand their operations.
