JUTC Provides Service to Denbigh Show

  • The Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) will again offer its park and ride services from Half-Way Tree, Portmore and Spanish Town.
  • The cost is $1,200 per person (adults or children 3 years and over) per day over the three days of the event, which will be held from Friday, July 31 to Sunday, August 2.

Patrons from Kingston and St. Andrew and parts of St. Catherine who will be attending  this year’s Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial and Food Show, in May Pen, Clarendon, will have an opportunity to travel in style and comfort.

The Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) will again offer its park and ride services from Half-Way Tree, Portmore and Spanish Town.

The cost is $1,200 per person (adults or children 3 years and over) per day over the three days of the event, which will be held from Friday, July 31 to Sunday, August 2.

Buses will depart the Half-Way Tree Transport Centre at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. daily; the Portmore Town Centre at 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. and the Spanish Town Transport Centre at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Departure times from Denbigh will be 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., daily.

Speaking with JIS News, Marketing and Communications Manager at the JUTC, Clinton Clarke, said that it is the role of the company to make comfortable and affordable transportation accessible to all.

The Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial and Food Show is an annual event that has been embedded in the unique culture and the broad fabric of the Jamaican farmer since 1952.

Persons interested is using the JUTC Park and Ride service are being asked to call toll free line at 1-888-991-668 or 749-3192-6; 749-0753; 749-0761 and 506-1939 for further information and bookings. Commuters with Smarter cards may use them to ride on the buses.
