The Full Story
The Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission continues its Results Management Process in accordance with its Anti-Doping Rules, 2008.
JADCO has received results from the WADA-accredited laboratory in Montreal, Canada confirming the Prohibited Substances which were identified in the A Sample analyses for the five (5) athletes who were tested at the National Junior and Senior Championships in June 2013 .
All athletes have been notified and have acknowledged receipt of their Notification Letters of an Adverse Analytical Finding for a B Sample.
JADCO has therefore referred these findings to the independent Jamaica Anti Doping Disciplinary Panel for their consideration and establishment of the Hearing Panels.
JADCO continues its rigorous Anti-Doping Programme and has conducted sixteen (16) Out of Competition tests in July 2013. From January- July 2013, JADCO planned to conduct 260 tests – 153 In-Competition and 107 Out-of-Competition and has actually conducted 262 tests – 164 In-Competition and 98 Out-of-Competition.
Since starting testing in May 2009, JADCO has conducted 876 tests- 504 In Competition and 272 Out-of-Competition.
